Sunday, September 10, 2023 JoAnne McFarland

We can’t wait to hear our former Board member and long-time friend, JoAnne McFarland, read from her new book, Pullman. JoAnne is a multidisciplinary artist and writer, and the Artistic Director of Artpoetica Project Space in Gowanus, Brooklyn which exhibits works that focus on the intersection of language and visual representation.

JoAnne has artwork in the permanent collections of the Cooper Hewitt/Smithsonian, the Library of Congress, and the Columbus Museum of Art, among many others.

Her latest collection, Pullman, was published by Grid Books in February 2023. JoAnne's next collection, A Domestic Lookbook, will also be published by Grid Books. Her ongoing curatorial project, Sally, a collaboration with artist Sasha Chavchavadze, explores the histories of women whose lives have been marginalized, or forgotten. JoAnne's artwork is represented by Accola Griefen Fine Art.
